An accomplished business professional, Gary Reis founded Access Ambulance, a company that delivers a high standard of emergency medical transport solutions to patients living in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. When Gary Reis established the company in the mid-2000s, it provided more than 3,000 transports in its first year.

According to a market research report conducted by IBISWorld, the increasing demand for medical care by America’s aging population means that the emergency medical transport industry has grown and will continue to grow in the coming years. In the five years following 2014, the demand for ambulance transport experienced an annual growth rate of 1.5 percent.

In 2019, the industry is expected to attract revenues of roughly $18 billion, which supports nearly 29,000 ambulance businesses. Moreover, IBISWorld projects that the industry will grow by more than 2 percent in 2019. For that same year, the American ambulance industry employed more than 203,000 professionals. In fact, since 2014, ambulance services employment has grown by 1.6 percent annually.
