Based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Gary Reis has more than two decades of experience working in the private ambulance service industry. In addition to being a certified emergency medical technician, Gary Reis oversees private ambulance services that have a combined fleet of more than 50 ambulances and make upwards of 50,000 transports each year.
One of the companies Reis operates, Access Ambulance Service, has 54 different vehicles in its fleet alone: 23 ambulances, 28 wheelchair vans, 2 vehicles that provide operational support, and a single bus. Five of those ambulances were procured in 2016 as part of the company’s ongoing effort to ensure that its fleet is updated on a regular basis.
The company adheres to a strict maintenance schedule for all of its vehicles, which are serviced by Triton Fleet Service, a full service repair center owned by the same group that owns Access Ambulance. Triton has eight mechanics on staff that are specially certified to service ambulances and other emergency support vehicles.
